Cleanuparr automates removal of unwanted, blocked, or problematic downloads from supported *arr applications and download clients. It helps keep automation pipelines healthy by cleaning stuck items, enforcing block/allow rules, and optionally re-triggering searches to replace removed releases.
Key Features
- Integrates with Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, Readarr, and Whisparr v2
- Supports common download clients including qBittorrent, Deluge, Transmission, and µTorrent
- Strike-based system to identify and act on repeated bad releases
- Removes and blocks downloads that fail import, stall, or remain in metadata downloading states
- Rules for low download speed and high estimated completion time
- Malware pattern blocker to catch known malicious release patterns
- Cleans up long-seeding items and orphaned downloads no longer referenced by *arr apps
- Optional automatic search trigger after removals to replace deleted items
- Notifications on strikes and removals, with ignore rules by hash, category, tag, or tracker
Use Cases
- Automatically remove malicious or malformed releases that get stuck in *arr queues
- Keep torrent clients and *arr queues clean by pruning stalled or non-importable downloads
- Enforce a consistent blocklist/allowlist policy across automated media downloads
Limitations and Considerations
- Effectiveness of malware/pattern blocking depends on configured patterns and community knowledge
- Aggressive cleanup rules can remove legitimate downloads if thresholds are misconfigured
Cleanuparr is best suited for users running an automated *arr stack who want fewer manual interventions and a more reliable download/import pipeline. With configurable rules and strike-based enforcement, it can reduce stuck queues and improve overall automation hygiene.
